Vision
The department of law at Times University Bangladesh believe that Law as a subject is gradually gaining importance both nationally and internationally. It is important that we contribute to the legal sphere in a way that our faculties and students can devote themselves to take maximum advantage of recent changes of legal arena in Bangladesh after the independence of judiciary.
Mission
The mission of the Department of Law is to provide highly qualified students with a superior legal education. The department seeks to prepare students for positions as counselors, advocates, judges, business persons, researchers, teachers, and philosophers of the law. These ends are furthered by a program of academic excellence combined with practical experience. By providing utmost facilities the students will achieve the pinnacle of perfection in legal education.
Degree requirement
A student would be awarded LLB (Honours) degree after completion of 4 (four) academic years earning 136 credits in 8 (eight) semesters with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50.
Objectives
- To enrich the educational experience of students by enhancing the quality of learning.
- To produce lawyers, with sound academic background with the ability to apply them correctly, in meeting challenges of the profession.
- To give the graduates the necessary communication skills and the ability to use new technologies to develop themselves to move with the rapidly innovative world.

Admission Requirements:
According to University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) rules, applicants for LLB Honors program must have at least 2nd Division or GPA 2.50 or equivalent grade in both SSC and HSC or in any other equivalent public examination. For O level & A level, applicants must have at least 5 subjects in O level and 2 subjects in A level. Among these 7 (seven) subjects the applicants must have GPA 4.00 or B Grade in 4 subjects & GPA 3.5 or C Grade on the other 3 subjects. Regarding Freedom Fighters children, the total GPA considered as 5.00 for each applicant.
Course Curriculum
A student would be awarded LLB (Honors) degree after completion of 4 (four) academic years earning 136 credits in 8 (eight) semesters with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50. In each semester not more than four courses shall be offered and each course will carry 100 marks. As an integrated programme, it carries 3400 marks and 136 credit points. The viva-voce is compulsory for all at the end of the second semester of each academic year and will take place after completion of written examinations. The medium of instruction shall be English and/or Bangla.
Academic Year
The length of each semester is six months and each academic year consists of 02 (two) semesters (Spring and Fall). Classes are held within 19 weeks of a semester and 02 weeks are allocated for Examination.

TUB follows the following Letter Grade and Grade Point system introduced by the UGC as a uniform grading system for all public and private universities:
